Let me take you through a virtual tour here. It’s 4:30am and I am wide awake. For a second I think it’s Thursday and wait a second, IT’S FRIDAY! Wooooo! Not that I do anything different on Friday than I do on Thursday…or Wednesday Tuesday Monday. Before I ever get out of bed the first thing I do is look what my favorite box’s wod for the day is.

Heavy thrusters man. So much hurt. For the past few wods I’ve been doing with thrusters, the typical weight is between 65 and 85 pounds for chicks. I’ve been using an open palm (no wrapping of the thumb around the bar) and it makes a huge difference! I don’t feel like I’m fighting the bar on the way down when I do it this way. Today, though, I wasn’t sure how it would work because those are some pretty heavy ass thrusters. The open palm made it easier to push up but the only issue was cleaning it off the floor and having to reset the bar on my palms. I guess I probably should have tried cleaning it like you would with a fat bar….no thumb wrapping. But I didn’t want to waste time during the wod. Those thrusters were pretty dreadful and they made everything else seem pretty difficult! I used the bar hops to catch my breath. My hands were killing me during those damn knees to elbows….which seem harder than toes to bar. So awesome though……a real killer.
Then I went home and watched some more Mad Men on Netflix because it’s become a little bit of an obsession to watch it. Mostly because Jon Hamm is a hunk of man meat. The entire show seems to be about screwing strangers, which is insanely entertaining.
After class I went back to the gym to get my lift on.
