I walked into the gym, threw my stuff into my special little cubby, and immediately started a metcon:



Dumbbell Push Press (50/30)

Dumbbell Lunge

20 double unders after each round.

Short and sweet. Still keeping things a little conservative because I’m taking it easy on my knee. Originally I wanted to do fatbar push presses and front rack lunges but decided to go with dumbbells today just for shits and giggles. I hate dumbbells.

Jerk: 3×5 @ 75%

Push Press: 3×5 @ 75%

Jerk Dip Squat: 5×3 @ 80% (of jerk)

It was probably a stupid idea to do that metcon BEFORE all this overhead crap…. I definitely felt the effects during my push presses when I had issues pressing out the third rep for every single set. I just felt incredibly unmotivated today, which always makes lifting seem impossible.

Back squatting tomorrow for the first time in 3 weeks. Stoked.
