This week is rough. I’m convinced that my body is rebelling against me and telling me that I need a deload week, where I think about things other than Crossfit and weightlifting. I’ve found myself overthinking every lift I do and it makes everything feel a thousand times heavier than it should. Today was no different than the last few days.. I couldn’t get into a groove and missed a whole bunch of lifts that ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT have been missed. I’m trying with every ounce of my being to let it go and maintain a positive attitude and remember that tomorrow is a new day.
Snatch— Work up to a heavy double. Take some weight off and work technique with around 75%-80% for 5 sets.
Snatch Pull— 3×3
Back Squat: 1 set x 5 reps at 75%, 3 sets x 3 reps at 85%, 1 set x AMRAP at 95%. These were embarrassing today. I missed my third rep on my last AMRAP set. My legs just couldn’t do it! My hip seemed like it kept locking in the hole and I couldn’t get out of it. Oh well…
Skill: Butterfly Pullups. These felt FAST and STRONG today, which was a nice way to end an overall shitty day.
