I love that, mostly because it speaks volumes and there aren’t many statements that couldn’t be more true! I find that when I start missing lifts, when I let myself get super angry (screaming swear words, kicking things, etc.) it makes every single lift after that seem really crappy. It’s either another miss or a rep that feels insanely heavy and looks really ugly. Calm yourself down, chalk it up as just another miss, assess what you’re doing wrong, and get back at it.

Today was great! I knew last night that I wanted to do some form of Cindy as a met-con, and today I came up with a little idea on the fly: Grace+ Cindy!

10 ROUNDS FOR TIME:

3 Clean and Jerks (155/110)

5 Pullups

10 pushups

15 air squats

Obviously the goal for me was to go unbroken for all 10 rounds. I went unbroken in everything except for the pushups. My arms were burning like a bitch when I got to around the fifth round. I had a lot of fun with this though… my clean and jerks felt fast and fluid.

Rested about 5 minutes or so, and then…

4 SETS FOR QUALITY:

Row 500m (SPRINT!!!! GRIP THAT SHIT AND RIP THAT SHIT!!!!)

50 second Front Leaning Rest on the rings

This was really rough after doing Skanky Cindy. My legs were burning, my arms were burning, I was exhausted… yikes. It was probably some of my slowest 500 meter rows.

Then I did some strength work…..

Strict Press: 1 set x 5 reps at 75%, 3 sets x 3 reps at 85%, 1 set x AMRAP at 95%

Back Squat: 1 set x 5 reps at 75%, 3 sets x 3 reps at 85%, 5 sets x 1 rep at 95%

And that’s my day! Super fun and laid back. Tomorrow is my last day at Haven and then I’m off to school for my last semester….THANK GOD!!!! can’t wait to leave that place and never look back.
