Check out this badass bruise on my inner thigh from….. wait for it….. AN ACCIDENT WITH A BOX! Ugh…. Such an awkward story. I might make something up, like I was saving a puppy from a 12 foot deep river and had to jump over rocks and stuff… all while holding the puppy overhead! YEAH!

Today was supposed to be a rest day, but I decided that snatching was driving me absolutely INSANE… so I got to the gym to snatch. And you know what? It felt really good today. It’s really nice when you’re able to free your mind of the bajillons of cues that you’ve heard and just move weight around. So, here’s what I did…………

Hang Snatch Pull + Hang Power Snatch: 5 sets x 3 reps

Hang Snatch High Pull + Hang Snatch: 5 sets x 3 reps

Snatch (from ground): 5 sets x 3 reps

Strict Bar Dips: 5 sets x 5 reps

Today was supposed to be a really long row and/or run workout, but I woke up feeling like crap. My head was killing me, my stomach was killing me, and my throat was killing me. Lifting usually doesn’t bother me when I have these symptoms but met cons always get my throat and chest feeling like someone is sitting on me. So, I decided to be smart and just forget about it for today. After all.. it is a rest day 😀 I also have been moving up and up in weight for snatching and it feels much more stable and fluid. Not all the way there yet, but we’re getting there one day at a time.

So now it’s protein and some Desperate Housewives. Is Netflix the greatest thing ever invented or what? I mean really….
