waxman's day 5
Late entry due to everything that is happening with End Line right now both in person and online.  Glad that everything is going well and I’m growing the brand in a systematic manner.  My training at Waxman’s has been good.  Shoulder has felt great and outside of a little hip tightness(driving for an hour to Lawndale) my body has ben feeling great.  Today was an awesome day because I actually did a snatch correctly.  I finally put one snatch together and felt my hips punch the bar overhead and caught it with a smile on my face.  It was a feeling like no other.  That was definitely the koolaide that I’ve been searching for.  Unfortunately it happened on my last rep of my last set :(

Snatch from the ground no contact 7×5 (was only supposed to do 5×5 but got caught up in the coaching)
Snatch high pull with brush 5×3
Power Snatch with brush 6×3
Snatch Grip Behind the Neck press 3×8

This doesn’t look like much but it takes a lot out of you both physically and mentally.  I know for sure I’m over thinking everything but it is fun. I wish there were more top level coaches out there to teach the Snatch and Clean & Jerk to athletes because I feel athletes would really enjoy the challenge and reap the rewards of increased power, balance, mobility and body awareness.  I don’t advise athletes to start doing the Snatch or Clean & Jerk on there own because you really need a coach to do the movements correctly.  If you don’t you will just be wasting your time learning inefficient movement patterns that’ll need to be unlearned later or even worse, end up injured.
