I had absolutely no desire to workout today. I was super groggy and had a killer headache but went in anyway because I told myself I’d be quick. Not necessarily rush through things, because rushing is stupid; it promotes poor body mechanics and a greater chance of you using shitty form (much like the form you see in Crossfit competitions… ahem). Yeah, I’m a little sassy today. Oh well, that’s life. Here’s what I did.
Deficit No-Brush Snatch: 3 reps x 5 sets @ ~65%. Keep these light so you can actually focus on the movement, not trying to hoist a shitload of weight overhead. I liked these a lot… they’re super awkward but definitely helped with verticality. Verticality is my focus these days.
Hang Snatch- Mid Thigh: 3 reps x 5 sets @ 70%
Push Jerk: 3 reps x 2 sets @ 60%, 3 reps x 2 sets @ 65%
Snatch Pull: 3 reps x 2 sets @ 95% (My neck started to hurt, so I stopped a couple sets short.)
Weighted Strict Pullups: 4 reps x 5 sets + 20 pounds
Weighted Reverse Hyperextensions: 3 sets x 10 reps + 45 pounds
Mobility: 20 minutes
Now I’m going to continue to keep watching House. Tomorrow is Monday, which means……….. I’LL BE OUTTA THIS BITCH 3 DAYS AFTER TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
