I woke up this morning sore in places I didn’t realize existed… and my shitty sleep probably didn’t do much. My coffee seemed to have a REVERSE effect…. I felt SLEEPIER after drinking it! Don’t you just hate that?! I don’t expect anyone to know what that feels like… because I don’t think many people on this earth drink coffee from the moment they wake up until basically the moment they go to sleep. Oh well. Today was the first day of my new program and I have to say…. after eating a giant blueberry muffin the size of a fetus and my body weight in chocolate easter eggs, I felt AMAZING during my lift….. from beginning to end! The energy didn’t falter… NOT EVEN A TAD! Here’s how today went….
3 Position Snatch (Floor, Below Knee, Mid Knee): 60% x 4, 65% x 4, 70% x 4
Snatch Pull: 4 sets x 2-3 reps @ 100% (Some sets were 2 reps because my hands were starting to rip.)
Squat Jerk: Technique and play work @ about 55%-65%
Back Squat: 5 sets x 5 reps @ 70%
Push Press: 5 sets x 5 reps @ 70%

Double unders. My arch nemesis. My calves/achilles have ALWAYS given me problems, and the whole jumping up and down quickly thing doesn’t make them feel very nice. But, I decided that they were feeling decent and I’d work on double unders…. because often times, ESPECIALLY when making our own programming, we tend to do more of what we like and less of what we hate…. when it should be the opposite. Luckily I have a perfectionist/obsessionist personality so I become fixated on things I suck at and do them until I don’t suck at them anymore. All in all, today’s double unders were a shit show. That’s what I get for neglecting them for so long. Oh well! All the time in the world to work on things. It still hasn’t sunk in that I’m home for good…. holy crap! I’M HOME FOR GOOD! Happiest person alive. So happy that I barely need to warm up because I’m all jumpy and warm and EXCITED!!!!!! YES!!!! BE EXCITED TODAY AND EVERYDAY!
