Today was a day. Wasn’t really a fabulous day, wasn’t a shitty day…. It was just a day. Went back to my weightlifting diapers (work with me on the analogy here….) and decided to hit it really hard on the technique work with weight that obviously isn’t all that close to my 1RM, but is still a substantial amount. I just added REALLY, REALLY slowly and did LOTS and LOTS of reps…. because it takes my body forever to warm up and start getting into the groove.

Power Snatch: 3 reps x 5 sets @ 75%

Have I mentioned how much I hate power snatching? Because I really, really hate it.

Snatch Complex: Pull from floor; 5 second descent from hip to below knee; pause 1 second; snatch.: 5 sets, adding small amounts of weight each set

Snatch Grip Behind the Neck Push Press: 3 reps x 5 sets @ 75%

Clean Complex: Pull from floor; 5 second descent from hip to below knee; pause 1 second; clean.: 5 sets, adding small amounts of weight each set

Weighted Strict Pullups: 20 reps total, 25-50 pounds added across sets

It’s just been a rough week. Haven’t been sleeping too well, not eating a whole lot, and I’m just really tired. But I’m plugging through and making it happen. Tonight will be an epic cheat meal filled with CARBS ON CARBS ON CARBS ON CARBS, all in the form of chocolate. OH YEAH! I’m ready for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
