TODAY WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!! I’m seeing TONS of Memorial Day Murph statuses on Facebook…. and even though I kind of hate that wod and find it a tad excessive and stupid (sorry… not really sorry), It’s good to see that people are getting involved and it’s happening EVERYWHERE! I took the “screw Murph” route today because it was supposed to be an active rest day… but, you know me… throw some heavy shit in front of me and I’ll find something to do with it! Let’s talk about my “active rest” day….

Row: 3500m

Y’s, T’s, W’s– 10 of each- open up those shoulders baby!

BODYBUILDING! (I’ve been incorporating bodybuilding days at the end of the week… they seem to help my achey joints and nagging pains and reduce soreness)

Dumbbell Lateral Raises: 3 sets x 10 reps

Front Raises holding plate: 3 sets x 10 reps

DB 1 Arm Row: 3 sets x 10 reps each arm


10 Minute EMOM

3 Burpee Muscle ups

Take a break, dance, talk to people, then…..

3 sets:

100m Prowler Push (I added 180 pounds to the prowler)

6 tire flips

100 ft overhead walking lunge (started off with 135 pounds, ended with 155 pounds)

6 Step up and overs (holding 45 pound dumbbells in each hand)

Then tanned outside and called it a day. I’m kinda pooped! Ecstatic for a day off tomorrow… next week is TOUGH. Lots of 5 rep maxes and 3 rep maxes…. the ones I hate the most. Yikes!
