Back from Colorado. After a bunch of flight delays, a flight that was longer than it should have been, and after waiting at O’Hare Airport for what seemed like forever, I didn’t get home until around 9pm last night. I woke up really early, feeling like shit…. and I hadn’t snatched since Monday. So, as you probably can assume… snatching was a little rough today.
Also, I haven’t squatted or done any full cleans/snatches in the last 2 or 3 weeks because my knee has been bothering me so badly. I thought that Colorado and taking 3 full rest days would help, but it really didn’t do anything. My knee feels the same today as it did 3 weeks ago, which just fucking sucks. It’s the same knee I tore my ACL, so that isn’t necessarily helping the healing process…. All I can really do at this point is stay off of it until the pain subsides. The thought of taking 3+ weeks off, though, is terrifying. Ugh…… Anyway, here’s what I did today:
Snatch: 2 reps x 5-6 sets at 83%
Power Clean + Power Jerk: 83% x 6 sets
Power Clean + Power Jerk + Split Jerk: 85% x 3 sets (Knee was killing me on the jerk..)
10 Minute AMRAP:
9 Strict handstand Pushups
10 Kettlebell Swings (106#/80#)
3 Power Clean and Jerks (185#/145#)
Rest a few, then..
250m Row All OUt Sprint
15 seconds rest
Reverse Hypers: 3 sets x 10 reps
SKILL: Bar Muscle UPs
That’s my day after a small hiatus. I’m feeling pretty crappy right now…. Legs feel really tight, shoulder is aching, and overall I’m just kind of a mess. I need to tone it down a notch.
